Dining Room and Kitchen Rental Rules

Thank you for your reservation with the Ephrata Business Center event venue. We want you to have a wonderful event at our facility! To ensure that our facility meets your needs and can continue to serve events like yours in the future, we ask that you follow these guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Ephrata Business Center venue rental coordinator, Rachel Stahl, at 717-466-4717.

I, the “renter,” have read and agree to the following rules:

Renter is responsible to see that the following guidelines are followed by all personnel associated with this event, including guests, staff, caterers, etc.
Renter is responsible to ensure lobby, auditorium, dining room, kitchen, hallways, and any other part of the facility rented for the event are returned to the condition in which they were before the event. NOTE: This does NOT include restrooms.
The areas of the building not included in this rental (i.e. auditorium, warehouse storage areas, etc) are OFF LIMITS to anyone associated with this event. Please be sure staff and guests respect the building.
No loud or vulgar music is allowed. Please be sure staff and guests are respectful of our other tenants, many of whom will be present in other areas of the building during this event.
Renter must ensure all items on the checklist are completed when the event is finished, fill out the checklist, and return it to the venue coordinator.
A deposit is required for each reservation. This deposit is non-refundable unless the event is canceled a minimum of 30 days prior to the start of the reservation.

Sanitize All Food Carts and Counters in Kitchen
Empty and Clean Walk-In Cooler and Freezers, Wash and Sweep Floor in Walk-In Cooler and Turn Off
Sweep and Wash Kitchen and Dining Room Hard Floors
Clean Stove Tops and Ovens – Be Sure to Remove Any Trace of Food or Spills
Place All Rags, Dish Towels, Etc, in Larch Washing Machine
Remove Garbage Bags from All Trash Cans, Tie Shut, and Place in Large Garbage Bin in Hallway
Place Fresh Trash Liners in All Trash Cans and Place Them in the Corner of the Kitchen by Cooking Vats
Clean and Return All Dishes to Storage Place
If the Stage is Used, Return It to Storage Place
Stack Chairs and Return to Original Storage Place
Return All Tables to Back Room in Designated Area (Rectangular Tables ONLY Eight Tables per Cart)
Sweep and Wash Entrance Floor
Vacuum Carpet
Sweep Outside Steps
Turn Off All Lights

Damage/Additional Fees
All Fees Listed Below to Be Charged At the Discretion of the Venue Coordinator

Failure to return a signed, completed copy of this checklist to the venue coordinator may result in a $100 convenience fee. You may make arrangements with Rachel to return the completed checklist in person, digitally, or by leaving it at a designated place in the building.
Failure to complete cleaning properly will result in a $200 to $500 cleaning fee.
Repair/Replacement fees will be charged for any broken or damaged items (equipment, appliances, etc) at the cost of the necessary repair or replacement plus 20%. If damage IS NOT REPORTED to the venue coordinator and it is apparent that this damage was known to the renter or event guests or staff, an additional $200 damage fee will be charged.
